Wine Knots wine group met on February 22, at the home of Kathy and Tom Zumann and featured two champagnes. The first selection was a Spanish Brut produced by Freixenet and the second was a California Blanc de Noir produced by the Gloria Ferrer Winery. Both champagnes were rich, fruity and greatly enjoyed.
Between champagne samples, the group was treated to sweet cream cheese topped strawberries provided by Debbie Johnston.
After the tastings, the group dined on deviled eggs, ham sandwiches, sweet potato/apple casserole, mac and cheese casserole, chicken pineapple meatballs, lime jello and topped off with beautiful Valentine’s cupcakes!
As always, the Wine Knots enjoyed great drink, great food, great laughter and great friends!
