Women’s Club Hosts a ‘Happy Summer’ Fashion Show at the June Luncheon Program!

The Robson Ranch Women’s Club is delighted to announce the June luncheon program will include a “Happy Summer” Fashion Show on Monday, June 3!

Chico’s Highland Village will curate this exciting summer fashion show. It will include the latest summer trends and accessories to fit our wonderful Robson Ranch lifestyle.

This promises to be a fun and entertaining afternoon complete with a delightful fashion show, a delicious lunch, and wonderful gathering with our friends, new acquaintances, and neighbors.

The fashion show is always a sold-out program. Get your reservation in as soon as possible. First-come, first-seated.

Buffet: Orange-glazed sesame chicken, fried rice, Asian salad, miso vinaigrette, and ranch dressing with banana pudding

Luncheon checks are due by Monday, May 27, at 8 a.m.

As a recap: The April luncheon program was on April 1. President Lisa Olson called the meeting to order and reminded members that the slideshow will continuously run during lunch with key information. Following, Lisa Olson and Donna DeBoever introduced new members, first-time attendees, and guests.

Shirley Monge celebrated the April birthdays. The Birthday Drawing winner was Kathy Mitchell. Shirley reminded everyone there were sheets on the tables for attending members to provide information about anyone needing a card on behalf of the Women’s Club.

Lisa stated that the club has 462 members. She also reminded everyone that separate checks are required for lunches and annual membership.

Dianna Duncan and Suzanne Spisak, Community Outreach co-chairpersons, announced $460 was raised at the luncheon and donated to Friends of the Family. The funds will be used for an appreciation dinner for the police. A drawing was held to Share the Blessings. Sandy Conwell won a lunch certificate.

Lisa recognized the Ways and Means Committee members Kay Menzies, Lorie Stockton, Debra Noguera, and Vicki Hackett coordinated the 2024 Home & Garden Show and were recognized for the outstanding job they did to make the 2024 Home & Garden Show a record-breaking fundraiser event. It raised $20,075.41, which was presented to Our Daily Bread.

Lorie reminded everyone that the Summer Patio Tour is June 1. There will be eight homes on the tour with snacks and beverages available at the homes. Tickets are $20. Raffle tickets are $25 each or 5 for $100.

Lisa proceeded to conduct the general membership vote to approve the by-laws amendments. All were approved.

Pam Dotson introduced Officer Ricky Fenner with the Denton Police Department. Officer Fenner provided helpful information on scams, issues in the City of Denton, immigration, trafficking versus smuggling, school safety, and gang issues. The audience was very interested and asked several questions.
