With an impressive turnout of over 120 enthusiastic members, the event buzzed with lively conversations and laughter, setting the tone for a memorable evening.

The festivities commenced with a delectable feast featuring chicken parmesan, pasta, and Caesar salad, setting the stage for an evening of celebration and recognition. President Kathy Dial took center stage, guiding the assembly through a comprehensive PowerPoint presentation that outlined the club’s growth and achievements over the past year.

A highlight of the evening was the unveiling of the club’s new website, an eagerly awaited project spearheaded by the dedicated effort of Lori Coffman. Her tireless work over the last few months culminated in a sneak peek that had members excited about the future possibilities of the new website.

Stepping into the spotlight, Joey Misiaszek reflected on the club’s inception, acknowledging the efforts of a dedicated group of founding residents, notably recognizing Mr. Frank Hunter, the sole remaining founding member still residing at the Ranch. In a heartfelt moment, Frank was honored with a prestigious Founding Father Award plaque, celebrating his unwavering commitment, dedication, and service to the woodshop.

Continuing the theme of recognition, President Kathy Dial proudly announced the addition of Greg Kohn and Mike Futcher’s names to the esteemed Founders Award plaque. This accolade pays tribute to individuals who have made enduring and impactful contributions to the Robson Ranch Woodworkers.

In her address, Kathy Dial highlighted the multitude of projects and training initiatives the woodshop successfully executed throughout the year. Acknowledging the many members who have stepped up and participated in these projects, she then announced the Woodworker of the Year Award. Lorraine Wilson was bestowed this honor for her consistent and invaluable contributions that have significantly enriched the woodshop’s endeavors throughout the year.

The event concluded on a high note, with an exciting raffle of over 24 exquisite gifts provided by the woodshop. From an oversized chocolate bar to a Dremel tool set, to an exquisitely made maple and walnut charcuterie board, members were excited as the winning tickets were cheerfully drawn from the respective ticket containers.
