A Patriotic Salute to the USA’s 250th birthday!

The latest Robson Ranch Garden Club featured yard is at 9209 Compton, the home of Melissa and John Schmitt. Along with many in their neighborhood they chose to celebrate our nation’s 250th birthday and decorate for the occasion. They added banners, flags and more to their already lovely yard. They bought their home several years ago but made it their own by removing cedars which Melissa is allergic to, as well as adding a planter box and Blue Agave succulents. They added plenty of vincas and while they add to the vincas each year, they find that they are also perennials and pop up on their own, too. Melissa loves the way the vincas thrive in the Texas heat and fill in to create the look of bouquets all around her home. The Schmitts have a great working partnership in the yard … she plants and he mows!
