When you lose a spouse, life can suddenly feel unfamiliar. Grief can bring waves of sadness, loneliness, questions and uncertainty—and there is no timetable for how long the journey will take. But you don’t have to walk that journey alone.
Women Sharing Hope is offering Beauty for Ashes, an eight-week, Bible-based grief support group created especially for women who have experienced the loss of a spouse. The study is designed to be a practical and encouraging resource for widows as they navigate the journey of grief and begin to discover ways to move forward.
The name Beauty for Ashes comes from Isaiah 61:3, a beautiful reminder of God’s promise to bring comfort and hope in the midst of sorrow. While grief cannot simply be “fixed,” there are tools, biblical truths and supportive relationships that can help us face each day and find hope along the way.
Led by Bobbi Stringer, the eight-week study will provide a welcoming environment where widows can learn, reflect, share when they are comfortable and connect with others who understand the unique experience of losing a husband.
Whether your loss is recent or you have been walking this road for some time, you are invited to join us. Come as you are and discover that even in seasons of deep loss, God can bring comfort, purpose and hope.
