Kiwanis is dedicated to changing lives, one person at a time. Such is certainly the mission for the Kiwanis Club of Robson Ranch. Members of Kiwanis are serving as mentors for elementary schools kids at risk in Denton schools, supporting the Boys and Girls Club of North Central Texas, providing scholarships to deserving UNT and TWU students, working with the Kiwanis Aktion Club for disabled adults at the Denton State Supported Living Center, and so much more.
Particularly fulfilling is the club’s commitment to build ramps for the elderly who are housebound due to their inability to navigate in and out of their homes. For the past several years Kiwanis of Robson Ranch has worked with North Texas Public Works and Metroport Meals on Wheels to design and build ramps that help people. Thanks to The Texas Ramp Project, volunteers from the Robson Ranch Kiwanis Club spent a few hours on a hot Texas Saturday morning that changed Ms. Ruth’s life.
If you have the spirit to give of your time and talents, Kiwanis is just the place for you. Fellow Kiwanians hope you will find our club of interest. Stop by and introduce yourself at one of our meetings. Meetings are held on the first and third Fridays of the month in the Bandera Room of the clubhouse starting at 9:00 a.m. after a half hour of socializing. We’d love to have you join us.
An added plus is you will find some of the friendliest residents on the Ranch, though I must admit I’m a bit biased.
