Dance Club ‘Boots and Bling’ Dance

“Boots and Bling”

Sandy Meinecke

The Dance Club held the “Boots and Bling” dance on Oct. 9, in the Robson Ranch ballroom. The dance floor was filled with dancers, many of them wearing boots and western hats. The music was provided by the Chasing Texas Band who kept the dancers on the floor. The band offered a unique blend of country blues, classic rock, and many great dance songs. Bert Zeitlin led the line dancing at intermissions.

The ballroom was decorated with a western theme. Each table had a Texas bandana with a cowboy boot decorated with glittery guitars and shiny beads.

Many thanks to our sponsors who donated door prizes: Meador’s Nursery, Nothing Bundt Cakes, LeFashion Boutique, and Henry Evans Ballroom Dance Instructor. The lucky winners were Ron Highfield, John Gaither, Gloria Holbert, Steve Johnson, and Tom Danielle.

The Dance Club looks forward to holding future dances in the upcoming year. There will be a Mardi Gras dance on Feb. 25, 2022, with the popular band The Grooves. The Timeless Band will play at a Cinco de Mayo dance on May 6, 2022. Be sure to visit our web page for all things Dance Club at www.rrdanceclub.weekly.com.

Let’s keep on dancing!
