Francesca D’Atria Romano

Robson’s very own City Public Arts representative was recently at the Greater Denton Arts Council (GDAC) to welcome the new executive director for the Arts Council, Krissi Oden, plus the new board of directors president for GDAC, Mark Smith.

Francesca’s mission as a board member is to make the Robson Ranch community aware of the wonderful, creative possibilities that the Greater Denton Arts Council, aka the Patterson-Appleton Arts Center, has to offer. It is a host to many wonderful events, from gallery exhibitions to dance, poetry, education, etc. It is also affiliated with Denton’s Campus Theatre.

Francesca plans to get Robson Ranch residents involved with all happenings via GDAC and City Hall.

Currently on exhibit is the 37th Annual Materials: Hard + Soft exhibition. This particular exhibition was started by local artist Georgia Leach Gough back in 1987. The exhibition celebrates the evolving field of contemporary craft and remarkable creativity and innovation of artists who push the boundaries of their chosen media. Georgia is now 103 years young.
