More Really Big News from the Paint and Palette Club

To honor loved ones on Memorial Day, the members of Paint and Palette are creating a Floating Lantern experience to take place on May 30, on the pond near the Sales Office. The lantern sales will be held at the clubhouse on Monday, May 23; Wednesday, May 25; and Friday, May 27, from 9 to 11 a.m. Residents can buy a floating lantern, to be personalized with the name of their loved one, and bring lanterns to the pond for an inspiring launch on Memorial Day, May 30, at 8 p.m.

Our own artist’s “Chair Exhibit” runs from May 28 to June 6, with a reception on June 2 featuring a cash bar and complimentary hors d’oeuvres. The range of creative conversions will be sure to amaze. You don’t want to miss this one!

Monday, June 13, we will offer a welcoming orientation for our new members. This will take place at 10 a.m. in Room 103 of the Creative Arts building. We are really looking forward to getting to know the 26 new members who expressed interest in joining our group at the Robson Open House on March 5. Our current members will be on hand to meet and discuss their many media, including oil, acrylic, and watercolor paints; alcohol inks; paper painting; collage; and more! We will introduce current members, meet each new interested member, discuss what we do as a club, and share upcoming ideas. We thrive—sharing techniques and ideas to help us grow individually and as a group. Club members share ideas through demonstrations, lectures, monthly events, and exhibits—both studio and local art museum exhibits. We embrace every level of experience and look forward to meeting our new members.

We are also excited to announce that beginning Monday, June 13, our new studio hours will be expanded on Mondays from 9 a.m. to noon, to 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., giving us so many more opportunities for creative work.
