The Robson Ranch Music Club ended the year positively jubilant over the outcome of 2021. We were able to get back to rehearsals, concerts, and event planning, all with fabulous results. Our 70s Concert was at least two notches past “rad,” then our first 4th of July Party was just plain explosive! Next, we had Scaryoke, always a great night of “Tricks and Treats.” Then we were once again able to perform our annual Veterans Day Concert, which always so beautifully honors our veterans here and in our hearts. The choir then moved quickly into our Christmas at the Ranch Concert. This year’s concert was especially charged with the joyous spirit of the season reflected in song. The choir sang favorites like “God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen” with a jazzy twist, as well as a spirited medley of Christmas carols in “Carol Sing.” Heartwarming and touching, was the best description of the choir’s rendition of “Breath of Heaven” and “Mary Did You Know.” A couple of other highlights were “Lullaby Jesus,” in which Danice Sharp had a lovely solo, and “Let It Snow,” which featured an adorable solo by Sherry Zeise. The concert ended with the always angelic “O Holy Night,” which, of course, was just a brilliant ending to a divine Christmas concert. The year is ending with the club sponsoring a New Year’s Eve Dinner/Dance. No doubt a splendid evening bringing in the new year with good friends and neighbors, this year featuring not only a wonderful meal, but introducing a new DJ from Partytime, Michael O’Brien. He happens to be a former dance instructor and has been in the entertainment business for some 30 years here in North Texas. Michael promises to help us dance our way right into the new year.
Next our club will again be doing Singing Valentines. Everyone involved last year had such a wonderful time, we just couldn’t miss the chance to offer it again. Valentines will be delivered to a person of your choosing on Sunday, Feb. 13, between 2 and 4 p.m. You will once again pick a song from our song list to be sung to your Valentine. They will receive the song, two Valentine cupcakes, and a rose. The cost is $25. Information will be on our website rrmusicclub.com, HOA announcements, and the message board. You may also contact [email protected]. Send that special someone, special friend, or special someone who just needs a warm fuzzy little gesture of love.
The Music Club is always extremely grateful for your support and ecstatic for the coming new year! We look forward to providing the community with musically charged events and hope to see you there. Go to our website rrmusicclub.com to view all club information and upcoming events.
