Save the Date: MLK Day Event, Are You Prepared?

The new year is around the corner, and the African American Social Group (AASG) wants to help you start the year off right with a workshop entitled, “Are You Prepared?”

Would you know what to do if you lost your spouse? Or are you the caregiver for an aging parent or disabled family member? Come join us for the discussion that many people want to avoid.

Guest speaker Leigh Hilton (estate planning and elder law attorney) will give out free copies of her popular book Who Gets Your Stuff When You Die.

Also, hear from neighbors and friends who will share some of their lessons learned. Each attendee will receive a helpful workbook prepared by Women Sharing Hope.

Lastly, to honor the legacy of service demonstrated by the late Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr, the AASG will be participating in a service/volunteer project (to be announced).

The event will be held on Monday, Jan. 17, 2022, at 1:30 p.m., in the Lonestar Room of the clubhouse. Advanced registration is encouraged. Send email to [email protected]. Contact Tiffany Ramzy at 216-346-9416 for additional details.
