The winning photo for September is titled “Ft Worth Riot” and was taken and submitted by Harold Lippold. The subject for the contest was “Fort Worth.” Prior to the contest a delegation from the photo club took a day trip to Cowtown. While others decided to scout out downtown Ft. Worth for photos, Harold decided to go fishing at the Japanese Gardens. He stated, “The photo was taken with a Canon G12 Point and Shoot set at the widest angle possible for the camera. The picture was then cropped to show the best portion and to eliminate most of the glare. The remaining glare was removed by cloning from the better parts of the background. Some saturation and sharpening was then used to finish off the photo.”

The winning photo for October is titled “Caffeine” and was taken and submitted by Randy Hatcher. The monthly theme for the entries was “hands.” When asked about the inspiration and feeling this picture generated for him, Randy said, “Gently cradling my first cup of coffee of the day as I anticipate its stimulating, caffeinated, eye-opening bliss. I think I’m addicted.”
