Harking back to the childhood days when we got excited about a sleepover at a friend’s house, 30 Voices United members gathered at the home of Lisa Olson for an Unsleepover celebrating the nation’s 250th birthday.
An Unsleepover is when you put on your pajamas, go to a friend’s house, have a few drinks, snacks, and a good time, then go home and get a good night’s sleep in your own bed.
This was the third Voices Unsleepover, this time with a patriotic theme: we wore U.S. flag-colored pajamas and our movie for the night was the 1995 rom-com The American President. Then we decorated picture frames to hold a photo of the gathering with red-white-and-blue decoupage. And then we went home.
Voices United is a non-partisan group of Robson Ranch women who share progressive values, perform community outreach, provide civic awareness and social contact for members … and have a good time! We’re a 501(c)(3) group. Our annual dues are $25.
