Rockin’ Red Ranchers at the John Wayne Museum

Feb. 17 was a perfect day for the Rockin’ Red Ranchers to Walk the Block and have some nostalgic cowboy fun! We started out with a grand tour of the John Wayne Museum. There was so much to see and learn about the larger-than-life star we remember from the movies, including the multitude of awards he received.
The highlight for me was learning about his relationships with his family, friends, and several U.S. Presidents. Following an opportunity to shop in the museum store, we headed to Riscky’s Steakhouse and spent our lunchtime getting to know each other better. We couldn’t leave Fort Worth without a visit to Billy Bob’s, where we learned some history of the location and building. Our hostesses put together a scavenger hunt that had us running around the place and getting a flavor of its unique musical entertainment. Topping it all off, we enjoyed delicious Cowboy Cookies on the way home that ended our day on a really sweet note!
